Coaching for growth

Get access to free career and financial 1:1 coaching focused on delivering personal support to ensure you're set-up to build a successful career in healthcare.

Free training & certification

The program's required training is free and provides access to healthcare certifications that normally require expensive training preparation and testing fees.

Wraparound support

We understand that transitioning to a full-time, in-person job can be challenging. That's why we offer access to a laptop or tablet for online training and additional resources to minimize barriers for everyone.

Am I eligible to apply?

As a program designed to remove barriers to get into healthcare, Pathfinders only has 4 eligibility requirements. Because of strict requirements from the grant that funds the program, only applicants who meet all 4 requirements will be considered.

In compliance with local and state laws, Intermountain Health can only employ people who are 18 years of age or older.

Work in-person in Denver Metro or Grand Junction

The facilities where the roles are based are in the Denver Metro and Grand Junction areas. You'll need to commute to one of these as part of the program.

What is the deadline to apply?

Applications for the Pathfinders Program will open up in October 2024 and applicants will be interviewed and hired on a rolling basis.

What is the application process?

The process is similar in structure to a job application process with interviews and interactions with recruiters and hiring managers. To apply, register in the Pathfinders Portal and follow the roadmap.

Are all the roles available from the program's launch?

Pathfinders roles are available on a rolling basis as they become available at our employer partner. As a result, not all participating role types may be accepting applications from the launch of the program. We suggest that you register and specify your career path of choice so that you can be contacted when those roles become available.

What is the Pathfinders Portal?

The Pathfinders Portal is the technology platform that serves as an entry point for individuals interested in Pathfinders. Upon registration, users can follow a step-by-step Roadmap to take them through career exploration, preview the learning courses that will be core upon getting hired for their career of choice, connect them to wraparound resources for additional support, and ultimately direct them to the best Pathfinders job to apply to. With the Pathfinders Portal, you are not alone on your career journey!

How does the program work?

Interested job seekers can create an account on the Pathfinders Portal to explore career pathways available, access resources to help prepare them for the application process, and ultimately be directed to the Pathfinder job that best fits them. All submissions will be reviewed and those that look to be a good match will be invited to interview. If an offer is provided and accepted, individuals will officially become Pathfinders participants. They will be onboarded to their new job (getting paid a salary from day 1) and simultaneously enrolled in the required training program. From there, they will have access to career and financial coaching, along with other supports to make sure they thrive in their new role and are on a path to advance to more senior roles.
